    Description

Here we have a great early Disney Piece.  It is a paper Mickey Mouse Mask made by the Somerville Paper Co. of London Ontario Canada.  It has “Copyright 1933 by Walt “ on one side flap,  and Pat’n Applied For Einsen Freeman Co. Mfg’d by Somerville Paper Boxes Limited London Canada Sole Canadian Licensee” on the other flap.  It is in nice condition considering it’s an 88 year old paper mask.  When i say "Paper Mask"  it is more like thin cardboard than paper (similar to a baseball card). A few scuffs in the ears (someone appear to have tried to “touch one up” with black ink at some point.  My finger is pointing it out) , , but over all good strong color.  No Major creasing, a bit of edge wear here and there.  Some areas of discoloration to the back in some spots.  What is crazy is  this doesn’t appear to have been used over all these years, there are no creases at the nose flap, and it is fully attached which is rare for these as most kids would have popped them out. I Have included several pictures for you to be able to judge condition for yourself.  It measures just under 10 inches tall (chin to ear tip), and it is 8 inches wide  I doubt many survived the 88 years (including making it through World War 2 paper drives).  Canadian pieces are much scarcer than their American and UK counterparts.  Because of the lower population far less were printed.  This is a scarce one indeed. I ALSO HAVE THE MINNIE MOUSE MASK UP, and lots of other pre 1940’s Disney Items ON EBAY AS WELL
I  will be trying to list several  EARLY TRADE & TYPE CARDS over the next few days (spread across different categories),
including one or two that are unrecorded in any guide, that were put given away with Tobacco, Caramel, Candy, Gum, Chocolate, Bread Coffee Tea Cereal and other products, covering such diverse subjects as Native American Indians , Baseball , Football, Boy Scouts, Ice Hockey, Golf, Presidents of the United States, NCAA and IVY League Colleges and Universities and Circus themes.  To view the other cards I have up on ebay please click  on the “View Sellers other Items” Icon located on this page. It will take you directly to them.
I am actually located in Canada just across the border.  I have a U.S.A. mailing address, and I mail my items from the USA to avoid border delays.
Due to my work schedule and distance to the post office I am only able to ship  Monday Mornings
.  If I haven’t received payment for an item the EVENING BEFORE Monday  the item will have to wait until the next Monday  to go out. Its unfortunate but unavoidable.  If this doesn’t work for you I respectfully ask that you do not bid or buy. Thanks again
