Made by Whitehead & Hoag and dating somewhere in the turn of the century timeframe, this is a great early celluloid pen wipe. In the days before ball point pens, quills were used and dipped into an ink bottle. That created a need for pen wipes to blot the extra ink off the pen.
This beautifully graphic pen wipe is die cut in the shape of a pig. The pig is two sided and opens at the bottom to allow the user to blot their pen on the cloth in between the two sides of the pig. The overall condition is excellent, especially as these typically have one or two legs broken off.
