The National Bank of the Republic of Belarus has presented an amazing coin dedicated to an adorable animal - European hare (Lepus europaeus). The wonderful 20-ruble silver proof coin included in the release is of the limited mintage of only 4 000 pieces and that must be the reason not to delay the purchase of such incredible silver item.
The obverse of the hare coin features the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus encircled with a geometric pattern. The obverse also represents the inscriptions indicating the name of the issuing country, the face value and the year of issue.
Depicted on the reverse of the coin, there is a fine crafted relief image of a hare with a cubic zirconia gem inlaid in its eye. Around the image, there are the inscriptions denoting the Latin and Belarusian name of the animal. The European hare, also known as brown hare, is a species of hares that prefer a habitat of open fields with hedgerows and woodlots near arable farmland of Europe and parts of Western Asia and Central Asia. Speed is their main defense and they can run at up to 72 km (45 miles) per hour to escape predators.
