Lionel 1954 2245 Texas Special F-3 AB Units ~Really Nice Condition!~

This auction is for an all original Post-War Lionel 2245 Texas Special F-3 AB units!. These units are in very nice clean condition! A very nice respectable set for the collection or the layout.
The glossy red paint still has its nice original shine to it! There is a light scratch on the top of the powered unit, in the last picture. It doesn’t go through the paint, though…..might be a scratch in the plastic. You really have to hold the unit just right to see it but, I wanted to There are a few areas of very light of edge wear on the paint, here and there……nothing major, just light signs of handling.
The white broad stripe is very clean and crisp on both units! The MKT-Frisco decals are intact on both sides of the A unit! Overall, this is a very nice set of Texas Specials. You can usually tell on Post-War Lionel F-3 units how nice and well cared for they are, by how silver the 2 piece horns are on the tops of the units!……And, the horns on the unit still have a clean metal sine to them!
The silver frames on both the units are also very clean and crisp in their appearance! The battery compartment is factory fresh! The powered unit operated very sluggishly so, if you intend on operating them, they will need a thorough servicing. So, if your looking for a very nice set of Texas Special F-3’s for your collection, then maybe this is the set!
