LIONEL POSTWAR #2321 LACKAWANNA FM with MAROON ROOF in ORIGINAL BOX

Up for auction is a nice Lionel Postwar
#
2321 LACKAWANNA FM in it's original box.
This is the variation with the MAROON ROOF made in 1954.
This one is in Excellent Plus condition with very nice paint and graphics. The lettering is strong and clearly legible. The engine runs and the E unit cycles in forward/neutral/reverse. It will need to be lubricated if you are going to run it. The horn has not been tested. It has hairline cracks at the screws at both end. They are very fine and tight.
There are no broken window struts. The wheels show run time, there is no battery damage, it is very nice. The hand rails are fine and undamaged. There is no rust anywhere.
The original box is very nice with all flaps and is sealed on one end. The insert is not original. It comes with a nice instruction sheet. The original printing is great and all manufacturer's data is clearly visible.  The number is clearly stamped on one end.
Overall very nice, you will not be disappointed. The pictures are part of the description.
