This is the Lionel "O" gauge postwar train Set No. 2147WS from 1949. It includes the No. 675 "O" gauge 2-6-4 steam locomotive, with a 2466WX "Lionel Lines" whistle tender. Also, included are the freights - No. 3472 Operating Milk Car, the No. 6465 "Sunoco" Tank car, the No. 3469X Dump Car, the No. 6457 Tuscan caboose. Additionally, we have the individual boxes, a USC Track Set, instruction booklet, 3 pieces of straight track, and 8 curves, and a wonderful Set Box. I am selling the set as is, however, please note that this is a 1947 Engine with chrome stack and no simulated coupler on the cow catcher, and a 2466WX tender in a 6466WX box, where it should be a 6466WX tender.
Overall, the set is very good condition. The engine is beautiful with little wear. It ran in both forward and reverse, but the e-unit was a little sticky. The Engine box is a brick with insert. The Tender is also in very nice condition. Whistle worked when tested. Front coupler wheels were a little loose. The freight cars are also in very good to excellent condition - as pictured. The Milk Car has a replaced deck on the stand and has five milk cans (one inside car). Typical small cracks under both doors.
Instruction sheet is a photocopy.
The individual boxes show some wear and most having tape on both ends and flaps, as pictured. The set box is good shape, with one corner reinforced with tape. Selling all that is pictured, and please let me know if you need any additional pictures. Please look them over carefully, and ask any questions. Don't miss this for your collections. Thanks.
