    Description

Marvin Davis Walt Disney Studio Research Library 1961 Disneyland Master Planner
Marvin Davis Walt Disney Studio Research Library 1961 Disneyland Master Planner
Historic Walt Disney Studio Auctions by Saturday's Toys presents...
a vintage issue of ZooNooz magazine from the Walt Disney Studio Research Library.
Includes matching library check-out card; dated September 1961.
The magazine was checked-out only two key individuals:
Marvin Davis (1910 - 1998): Walt Disney's most trusted art director in creating the original master plan for Disneyland... and continuing his influence through Disneyland's first decade.
Steve Berger (aka Stephen Berger): legendary art director and theme park designer. Worked with Harper Goff on 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea; and has had an unparalleled career in designing theme park attractions throughout the globe.
Check-out cards likely signed by staff personnel or members of the library / research team.
Includes the stamped address of the Walt Disney Productions "Book Library" on the reverse cover.  Good condition; with minimal insect damage to lower right corner of cover.  Still, impossible to find today... and particularly with an association to Walt Disney's original master planner for Disneyland ... Marvin Davis (former art director at 20th Century Fox).
Stamped on the front cover with the official stamp of the Walt Disney Studio Library

    Saturday’s Toys and Disneyana Auctions
was founded in 1994 by Southern California author and Disney historian, Dave Mason. Soon after eBay's launch the following year, Saturday's Toys was among the first Disneyana specialists to strategize in embracing this rapidly developing technology. Having delivered over 10,000 coveted Disney treasures since then, Saturday's Toys is pleased to partner with researchers, collectors and friends throughout the world with a shared interest in the preservation of authentic and accurate Disney history.
Today, online offerings of archival Disneyana keepsakes are presented in celebration of the extended times that allow for family, friends and neighbors to join in memorable gatherings that nurture the strong connections that bind a community together. These treasures are affectionately known as "Saturday's Toys." In that light we present our adopted motto (with a tip of the cap to the Sherman Brothers):
"Oh, let's go fly a kite!"
We are glad to combine shipping to reduce costs whenever possible.  Simply let us know before processing payment for the items selected and we'll revise and forward a final invoice to reflect the combined shipping price.
This usually works most effectively when combining flat paper items (postcards, newsletters, ephemera, etc.) but we'll do our best to make any combined purchase provide the best value for shipping.
Let us know if you have questions!
