    Description

    This auction is for a Marx Monon tin lithograph diesel freight set.  I did not find this set in the Greenberg set book but the set fits in the 8800 series of small diesel sets.  The set consists of Monon FM A-A loco with light and large reversing motor (serviced-runs, lights and reverses properly), a PRR box, a Wabash gondola and a Monon caboose.  The cars are 7" with plastic knuckle couplers.  The litho is excellent on all pieces.  There are 10 pieces of 027 track (7 Marx, 3 Lionel).  The transformer looks good but has a "toasty" cord.  The set box is nice.  I assembled the set and ran it for a few minutes on my layout.
