    Description

Founded in 1919, after the war, two brothers by the name of Louis and David started the Marx Toy Co. in New York. The name MAR with the "X" was said to resemble a railroad crossing. By the 1950's, Marx was the largest manufacturer of toys in the world and 95% of those were made in the USA. The U.S. plants were in West Virginia, and Erie and Giraud, Pennsylvania.
This toy is the Marx Tow Truck. This toy truck has some of the accessories.  It has a plastic screwdriver, a wrench, but I don't know what the other two parts are for.  On the back of the truck is a fire extinguisher, a Missouri license plate, and a gas can.  One of the extra parts, I have on the tow mast and one in the back of the truck.
This truck features two doors that open on the side of the bed to store tools.  It also features two opening hatches in the bed of the truck.  This toy truck is entirely made of plastic, except for the wheels and axles.  It is 10" inches long.
It is missing the hood, and a horn on the top of the cab.  There are no chips, cracks, or breaks in the plastic.  The wheels are all good and turn easily.
