    Description

    This patriotic themed letter opener is from the United Brass Works Inc.  New York City (1910 to present).  The handle is quite unique with an American eagle cast into both sides.  Top of the handle is a cornucopia and below the eagle is an American shield.   Opener measures 9 1/4".    It has a nice untouched patina but would probably look really amazing if polished.  See photos for best idea of item and condition.   Questions welcomed.
