Circa 1950's, oversized store display Walt Disney Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Pluto character marionettes by Pelham Puppets, rubber jointed legs and painted wooden head. Manufactured in England under license from the Walt Disney Company, these oversized puppets were one of a series of Disney character puppets that were used as store displays where Pelham Puppets were sold. These oversized puppets were never sold in the retail market and were only used as store displays and at Disneyland. All original. Height approx. 22”. Pelham labels on wooden control bars. Scattered small paint losses, some soiling and scuffs, but overall attractive vintage condition.
Minnie's ears are full and intact but the glue has dried up and needs to be re-glued. Her headband needs to be glued as well.
