    Description

This auction is for an all original prewar Lionel 700E O Gauge Scale Hudson Locomotive & 700T Tender in Excellent (+) (C7-C8) condition. Manufactured in 1938, It features a 10:1 gear ratio, oil holes in the frame, male-threaded brush retaining screws, and 38-1471 serial number which verifies  its 1938 built-date. The locomotive ran extremely well when tested; nothing cracked, damaged, re-stamped, repainted or replaced on either the locomotive or tender; boiler is missing a hinge pin. The 700T whistle tender weighs 3 lbs, 3 oz and is complete, undamaged and worked well when tested. It includes an original 700T-5A Bakelite coal pile (with undetectable 1/4" crack) and an original (slightly bowed) 700T-2A body with its original factory painted finish and lettering. The original 700E-25 Hudson Locomotive Display Board with original T-Rail track that came with this locomotive and tender is currently being sold as a separate auction item on eBay. Don't miss your chance to own this highly desirable piece of Lionel history. Carefully examine the detailed photographs provided to affirm description, ask questions, and bid accordingly.
